Getting Started

How do I get started?
 

If you have already signed up at Landlord.com and know your user name and password, go straight to "Member's Log-in" (if you don't remember just enter your email address (in the "Forgot Password") and your account information will be emailed to you.

For new members, it's very simple. All you need is Adobe Acrobat Reader (free software from Adobe.com). Next, you will need to sign-up (register) for free at Landlord.com, select your unique user name and password. Once you click "Join", you will be able to immediately log-in and access hundreds of rental and business forms.

 

For New Visitors (Trial-Membership) Do This;

1. Sign up here. You will be asked to select a unique username, password and enter your e-mail address and postal ZIP code. You will be e-mailed your membership registration and a web address where you can log-in (or see 2. below).

2. Log-in. Get ready to see the most comprehensive set of landlord forms on the Internet.

Which Membership package should I choose?

You should choose the package that best fits your present and projected needs.

  • Registration or Sample Membership (free): If you just want to sample the quality rental and business forms, checklists, landlord letters, agreements, disclosures and other time saving form documents Landlord.com has, then Registration or Sample Membership (FREE) is for you. Members or registrants can always upgrade to Gold Membership by logging-in and selecting “upgrade my membership.” You also have the opportunity to purchase any one or all of the Gold forms at Landlord.com's e-Store.
  • Standard Gold Membership: If you only want to fill-in forms using your typewriter or pen, then Standard Gold Membership is the right choice for you. This package is best suited for members that will only have very few or only one rental and do not wish to archive their rental data or documents online.
  • Deluxe Gold Membership: If you don't mind filling-out multiple documents or do a lot of paperwork associated with your rentals or apartments, and want to use your computer's keyboard to fill-in forms, Deluxe Gold Membership is the right choice for you. Can I upgrade my membership at a later date?


Yes. Landlord.com members can choose to add upgrades to their account at any time. To do so, log in to your account and click "account  services." Landlord.com Trial members can choose to upgrade their membership to Standard or Deluxe at any time during or immediately following their registration (free).
 

What are the system requirements and what type of computer do I need?
 

The e-Forms Center service requires that you use an IBM compatible computer with a Windows-based operating system. Click here for more details.

Does e-Forms Center work with my Macintosh computer?

Yes.

What kind of printer will I need?

Just about any printer will work with e-Forms Center. We recommend a laser printer for the quickest and best results.

Can I access my account from any computer?

Yes. Whether you're on the road, at home or in your office, or meeting with the tenant at his or her home or work, you can access the e-Forms Center at any time.

Will I need any training before I can use the e-Forms Center?
 

No, or very little. The e-Forms Center was designed to be simple and easy to use. If you know how to download a form using Acrobat Reader, you'll know how to make the most of the e-Forms Center.

Can I register online if I do not have an active email address?

No. You must have an active email address, so we can email your confirmation of your account information to you.

What if my email changes or I want to change my password; will I be able to update my account?

Yes. Once you signup (register for free) you can update your account any time you log in, including changing your email address or your password at the login page.

If I have trouble logging in what steps should I take before contacting someone at Landlord.com?


If you see the following error message;

  • "Error: Bad Username or Password" - Either the user name or password entered is incorrect (try again or another). Sometimes this is could a cookie problem, you must have your cookies enabled or set to medium or higher. However, if you are not sure or just forgot your user name or password, you will see at the log-in page "Forgot your password or username?" click that or click here nd you will go to the log-in page. Just type in your email address and you will be emailed your user name and password immediately.

  • Cookies - Must be enabled and set medium or higher.

  • Cache Files - It is also possible your cache files may need to be cleared from your browser (your browser keeps a cache file on any previous visits you've made to our web site). It will be necessary for you to clear them out, including closing your browser session and starting up your browser again.

  • More Help - If logging in problem persists, call Landlord.com at 1-800-573-8428 for assistance.


For Internet Explorer;

  • 6.0 – from the main tool bar select “Tools/Internet Options,” then press “Delete Files,” and press “OK,” now do the same for “Delete all offline content.” Press OK again.

  • 5.5 - from the main tool bar select “Tools,” select “Internet Options,” select “General,” then see “Temporary Internet Files,” now press “Delete Files,” (also check the box for “Delete all offline content and press “OK.”

Netscape Navigator;

  • 7.0 - from the main tool bar select “Edit/Preferences,” select “Advanced” arrow. See the one marked “Cache,” select “Clear Memory Cache” and “Clear Disk Cache,” click OK.

For AOL;

  • Open the “Control Panel” first, then click “Internet Options Menu.” Follow the same procedure for IE 6.0 stated above.

  • Saving your password and user name – There are many utility programs on the Net (free, shareware, and fee) available to you. Check out Password Tracker.

Can I use any version of the most popular browsers with the e-Forms Center?
 

We have tested the forms at e-Forms Center with the following browsers and found them to be fully compatible;

  1. Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0, 7.0

  2. AOL
